Rummy is a popular card game played in numerous versions around the world. The one we chose to make is so-called "Rummy 51" version. Rummy is not a simple game, but once you master the rules, you'll be happy you learned how to play.
We play Rummy with two standard decks of 52 cards + 4 jokers. Rummy can play up to 6 players. Our version is made for 4 players. Each player is dealt with a certain number of cards from the deck. Three players get 14 cards at the beginning of the game, while the fourth one, who is going to play first, gets 15 cards. We put the remaining cards in the center of the table, and, from that pile, players pick/take cards later in the game.
For all players who are not familiar with the rules of the game, we made an interactive guide, which you can check by clicking
the link below
Interactive Guide
The goal of the game is to eliminate all the cards from your hand. The first
player starts the game with 15 cards in his/her hand and has to throw one
which he/she doesn't need. Afterward, every player has to pick one and discard
one card, which he/she doesn't need. As previously mentioned, the goal of
the game is to discard/eliminate all the cards from your hand, and in order
to do so, you must open first. The opening is done by placing valid groups
of cards in front of you, face up, whose sum must be 51 or more. Cards 10,
12, 13, 14, and aces count as 10 points, while the remaining cards count
in their own value. Valid group of cards must have at least 3 cards, and
the groups can be of two types. A group can be made of cards with the same
number but different signs (for example, 10 hearts, 10 clubs, and 10 diamonds).
Such group cannot have two cards with the same sign, and therefore, such
group can have 3, maximum 4 cards. Another group type is the one with the
ascending series of cards with the same sign. For example, 1 ♣ 2 ♣ 3 ♣ 4
♣ or
13♥ 14♥ 1♥. Minimal number of cards in this group is three, while
there are no limitations for maximum number of cards. This kind of group
has limitation about ace position in it. Ace can be first card in such group
or last card in such group. That means that you can not place 2♣ after K♣
and 1♣. Valid ascending group would be Q♣ K♣ A♣. Jokers can replace any card
in a group and their value depends on the card they are replacing. During
the opening, you are allowed to put only one joker in a group you are placing
on the table. The sum of the cards in groups must be 51 or more in order
to open. Here is the example of two groups whose sum is exactly 51 and which
will allow you to open: 6♠ 7♠ 8♠ and
10♦ 10♣
10♥. In our game, there is a dedicated place in the middle of the
table where all players place their cards when opening. Before the opening,
you must pick/take one card from the top of the pile, and after the opening,
you must discard one of your cards to the discard pile. After the opening,
you get a chance to add your cards to the groups of other players, who previously
opened. For example, if someone has placed a group 3♠ 4♠ 5♠, and you have
2♠ or 6♠, you can add those cards to that group, and that is how you can
discard more cards from your hand. Remember, the ultimate goal of the game
is to discard all of the cards from your hand. If a group contains a joker,
and you have a card which that joker replaces in that group, then you can
put your card to that group and take the Joker card which you can later use.
When you are opened, you can always place more of your card groups whenever
you create them. When your turn comes, you must pick one card. You may take
the card from the deck of remaining cards, facing down, or from the discard
pile. If you take one from the discard pile, it will be the one discarded
by the player who played before you. There are few rules regarding taking
the cards from the discard pile. If it is the first round of the game, you
can take the card from that pile freely. In every following round, you must
open if you're planning to take a card from that pile. After opening, you
can freely take the card from any pile, which is the third rule. In order
to end the game, you must discard the last card from your hand to the discard
pile. The last card from your hand cannot be added to someone's group.
Opening is not allowed in the first round
In the first round, you can freely take a card from the discard pile
If the first round is over, you can take a card from the discard pile but then you have to open
After you are opened, you can take a card from any pile without consequences
The opening group must have at least three cards
When opening, the group can contain only one joker
You can not add a joker to already placed group of cards with same number (makes no sense)
To the group of ascending cards, you can add any number of Jokers
The group made of 4 cards of the same number but a different sign is completed group and other cards can not be added to it
In order to open, the sum of cards in your groups must be 51 or more
You can add your cards to your's or other players' groups after you open
You can not add the last card you have in your hands to the some placed group. Last card serves you to win by discarding it
If you have three cards left, which would form a valid group, you cannot place them on the table since you won't have any cards left to discard and finish game
You can add cards to other players' groups even during your opening, but first, you must place groups with the sum of 51 or more
If you have a Joker, which you can not use while making groups, and you don't want to add it to someone else's group and let someone take it, you can discard it to the discard pile with another regular card. Just select Joker and some other card and throw them away. That is called "Joker burying"
It is not allowed to discard only one Joker card. It has to be in combination with another regular card which is called "Joker burying" You can discard one or more Jokers only if those are the last cards in your hand
The game is over when one of the players discards his last card. That player gets -40 points. The less points you get the better. Other players get points that are sum of cards they have left in their hands. Values of the cards left in hand are the same as when opening. If someone has a Joker in his/her had when game is finished, that card is valued 20 points. If a player didn't manage to open he gets 100 points.
In order to play games in various rooms in our game you need chips. Higher rooms require more chips to play but the rewards are also higher. There are two types of chips in the game: silver and gold chips. Both chips have the same value when playing in rooms and if you have both then silver chips will be used first when entering rooms. When you lose all of yours silver chips, golden chips will be used instead. You get silver chips every day through daily bonus and their quantity depends on many factors which we will explain further in the following text. You can earn golden chips by inviting your friends to play, unlocing achievements, getting high positions in leagues or many rang lists and you can also buy them using cards and Pay Pal. There is no limit how many golden chips you can have. On the other hand there is a limitation to your number of silver chips that you can hold. When you first come to the game your silver chips limit will be 100. Your limit will increase as you get higher levels +4 silver chips per level you gain. For example, on level 20 your silver chip limit will be 180 because of 20 * 4 + inital 50 = 180 chips. Bear in mind that you can not hold more silver chips than your chip limit so if you get a daily bonus and you are already at full number of silver chips then you will not get any more of them from daily bonus. For example, if you have 80 silver chips and your chip limit is 100 and you get 70 silver chips through daily bonus then you will only get 20 silver chips and other 50 will be lost because your limit was 100.

There are 15 titles and 50 levels you can reach in our game. Each new player starts the game with a title Ant and Level 1. In order to progress in game and reach higher levels and titles, player hast to collect Clvoer Points ♣ which you can get by playing games and achieving better results than other players. You can check your title, level and Clover Points necessary to reach the next level on your profile and on main menu pages at all times. With each level and title, player gets some bonuses like more daily chips, playing with stronger opponents, unlocking new rooms to play in, etc. In the table below you may check what each title and level bring. Certain levels in the game bring new titles. For example, after the initial title "Ant", the following title is "Butterfly" which unlocks when you reach level 3, and the next one is "Frog" when you reach level 6. The last title, "Lion" unlocks when you reach level 46.
In order to reach the next level, you must collect certain number of Clover Points. For example, level 2 requires 100 Clover Points. The number of points to reach the next level increases with every new level. You may check the full list of levels and necessary Clover Points in the table below. You earn Clover Points during games with other players. The number of points earned depends on place taken in game and some other parameters, such as melding in game and the number of remaining cards at the end of the game.
The number of Clover Points ♣ based on the place you took at the end of the game:
Bonus Points:
Room Bonuses:
Rooms also have certain bonuses for Clover Points. Rooms that require higher titles to play in, have a multiplier number that multiplies total number of Clover Points on the end of the game. For example, multiplier for the Steppe room is x3.4, which means that if a player wins 80 Clover Points in a game, that number is multiplied by 3.4 and the total Clover Points number would be 272 ♣ in the end. You can check the number of Clover Points multipliers for all rooms here.
Example of calculating ♣ points at the end of the game:
As an example let's say that you finished at second place, and you managed to make an initial meld during the game and you had five cards in your hand at the end. You would get 80 ♣ for this scenario because second place brings you 65 ♣, then bonus for initial meld is 5 ♣, and you also get 10 ♣ for discarding ten cards during the game. The multiplier of the room in which the game was played would be added to this sum. If the room was Tundra, whose multiplier is 2.2, then the total number of points would multiply by 2.2 and the total number of points would be 176 ♣.
There are six leagues in our Rummy in which players can compete. Currently, five are active and the highest league - Forest League will be unlocked when enough players can play in there. Every new player that comes to play our game starts from lowest league - Desert League and with good results can be promoted to higher leagues. Same is true about relegation from leagues when player make bad results or if player doesn't play necessary number of games in league during one season. Players can not drop/relegate from lowest league and also players can not be promoted from highest league. Every league has its own rules about promotion and relegation. Promotion and relegation is related to rating in lower leagues but ih higher leagues there is fixed number of players that gets promoted or relegated. These inforamtions can be found on our page which lists all the leagues and league stats.
League season will last for 15 days. On your main menu page you will be able to see your rankings in your current league and there will be a timer that will show the time until the end of current league's season. After those 15 days some players will be promoted to higher leagues, some will stay in same league and others will relegate/drop to lower league. After that, new season of leagues will begin which will again last for 15 days. Every league has its own set of rules for promoting and relegating players. Also, there is a minimal number of games that you need to play in your league in those 15 days so your league rating could count. That minimal number will be 30 games per season. If player doesn't play enough games in one season he will be relegated to lower league automatically on the end of the league season. This means that even if league has 100 relegation slots and if there are 200 players in the end of the leagues season that didn't play enough games all of them will drop to lower league. Players in leagues are ranked by league rating which is different than monthly rating. If two players have same league rating than they will be sorted by number of games played and number of first places taken in league games.
Rooms in which you play are directly related to leagues. If you play in third league that is Steppe League then you need to play your games in room Steppe or higher if you want taht game to count towards league rating and stats. If you are in Steppe League and you play for example in Desert room that game will not count in your league rating and statistics and will not count as played game in league. Pay attention to this rule when you select your room to play in when starting new game. One more important rule about leagues is that you can not promote to higher league if you didn't unlock coresponding room first. For example, in the end of the sesaon you took first place in Steppe League but you didn't unlock the room Savanah. In that case, you would get the prize for winning in Steppe League but you would stay in that league because you didn't unlock the required room to play in higher league.
Inactive players will be dropped to lower league on the end of the season. Inactive players are those players that do not play a single game during one league season. They will drop from league to league until they reach lowest league - Desert League. If they stay inactive in lowest league their's league stats will be deleted and they will not be shown in leagues until they reactivate at some point. Players that starts to play again will be placed in Desert League again.

In order to start the game with other players, you must choose a room in which you would like to play first. There are six rooms in total and in the beginning, only one of them will be unlocked - "The Desert Room". Other rooms unlock when you reach certain titles. Each room requires its own stake in chips and a has different reward for the winner. The higher the level of the room is, the higher the stakes and the rewards are. Also, higher rooms have higher ♣ multiplier and by playing in them you would get to higher levels and titles faster.

Players are ranked based on their rating. If a player plays well and wins often his/her rating will be higher. Rating doesn't depend on the number of games someone played but, it is measuerd by how well you played. In order for a player to participate in the rating, he/she must play at least 20 games. In case two players have the same number of points, the advantage has the one with more games played. The highest number of points per game is 100. Rating is based on the points won in each game and the formula for calculating it is:
Rating = (Total number of points won * 10000) / (Total number of games played * 100)
Number of points you get from one game depends on place you took in it:
Bonus Points:
Here is an example of rating calculation. Let's say that you played 20 games and won 1574 points total. Your rating will be calculated by the use of the previously mentioned formula like this (1574 * 10000) / (20 * 100) = 7870. Let's say the you win the next game and you get 100 points. In that case, your new rating would be: (1674 * 10000) / (21 * 100) = 7971. So, your new rating would increase from 7870 to 7971 for that win.
